Ember of Adventure is a whimsical, comedic fantasy series. It takes place in the world of Altrial, a diverse land replete with wonder and danger, magic and monsters, prophecies and unexpected consequences.

There are brave knights clad in weathered armour, Chosen Ones destined for turbulence and triumph, shadowy cults seeking the return of ancient abominations, armies amassing for campaigns of conquest, and much older, fouler things lurking in unseen abysses.

And then there’s Ember, Sasha, Mirran and Blake. They’re all here too, and they’d probably prefer not to be. They’re just lowly adventurers trying to complete quests for a living and avoid danger. Unfortunately, they’re not very good at either of these things.

Framing someone for assault you unintentionally committed, giving a fake name to a race of vengeful spirits that just declared war on you, getting the Chosen One drunk and shaving him bald, stealing hallucinogenic drugs from religious monks, accidentally assassinating public figures; critical thinking is not a quality these guys possess a lot of. Nor is honour, grace, courage, honesty, or… any synonym of good, really.

But what Ember and the gang lack in talent or intellect, they make up for in cowardice, envy and insecurity. Oh, and they’ve also got just a bit of bad luck.

Wherever these guys go, disaster follows. And it’s mostly their fault.
